Katie Shields is a certified physician assistant who joined Atlanta Breast Care in the spring of 2021. Originally from Arkansas, she attended the University of Arkansas, where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Political Science. She obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies locally at Mercer University and has enjoyed calling Atlanta home ever since. Katie has a special interest in oncology, inspired by her mother, a Stage IV cancer survivor.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and their young daughter, cooking new vegetarian dishes, and taking walks with her corgi.
