Dr. Moen attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She returned to her home state of Texas for medical school, earning her Medical Degree from Texas A&M, before heading to South Carolina for General Surgery training at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. While there, she was recognized for her outstanding leadership, patient care, and surgical skill and was voted Resident of the Year by her peers and mentors. Dr. Moen’s passion to care for breast cancer patients ultimately led her to Annapolis, Maryland where she learned to treat breast cancer under the mentorship of leaders in the field, completing a Fellowship in Surgical Breast Oncology.
Dr. Moen is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She prides herself on staying up to date with the latest advances in breast cancer care and has presented her research both regionally and nationally.
In her free time, Dr. Moen enjoys traveling with her husband, who is an Emergency Medicine physician, walking her Australian Shepherds, stand-up paddle boarding, skiing, reading, singing and playing ukulele.
