Shelby Bowman, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who joined the Atlanta Breast Care team in the spring of 2021. Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Shelby earned her degree in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia before completing her physician assistant training at Mercer University. She is an affiliate member of The American Society of Breast Surgeons and is passionate about patient education, breast cancer risk assessment and personalized monitoring plans, and providing ongoing support for patients with a history of breast cancer. Shelby also contributes to the education of future physician assistants by precepting students at Mercer University and delivering lectures on breast disorders and the diagnostic evaluation of breast disease.

When she's not helping patients, Shelby enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter, and their dog, Griffey. She enjoys playing tennis and golf, reading, and getting together with friends for a game of mahjong.
